Manchester United midfielder Cristiano Ronaldo escaped injury after wrecking his Ferrari on the way to training on Thursday, the Premier League and European champions have confirmed.

The accident happened in a tunnel near Manchester Airport with Sky News showing pictures of the badly damaged sports car. Reports said one of the wheels had come off in the incident and was found about 200 meters behind the vehicle.And while Cristiano walked away from the crash unharmed, his car wasn’t so lucky. Onlookers described it as a mangled wreck, with one witness telling press, “It’s amazing he was okay because his car looked so bad!”

The estimated value of the car was about £200,000. A rough currency conversion would place the vehicle’s value at approximately $300,000.00 in American currency. That might be considered a bit expensive, even in Ronaldo’s world.
